Uptime-ZA is a website monitoring service operated by a working infrastructure engineer based in South Africa. Every website under monitoring is configured, tested, and overseen by the same person — not a rotating support team, not an overseas call centre, and not an automated script with a human face pasted on it.
The Engineer Behind the Service
My background is not web design or digital marketing. It is engineering — mechanical, electrical, and naval architecture. Four decades of engineering discipline across Antarctic research ships, cold storage plants, steel rolling mills, and industrial facilities taught me one principle above everything else:

I applied that same discipline to Linux server infrastructure starting in the early 2000s. I have run ISPConfig on Debian since 2005, manage my own Proxmox virtualisation environment, and operate 50+ websites from my own hardware. The monitoring infrastructure that watches your website runs on that same hardware — it is not a third-party SaaS tool I resell.
